CPL Start-up course at Chimes Aviation Academy (CAA) first of its kind preliminary pilot training course aimed at young aspirants who would want to understand nuances of being a pilot training in a practical scenario. Aim of this course is to enable aspiring pilots to test their aptitude for being a pilot & become eligible to appear for CPL (Commercial Pilot license) examination.

Educational Qualification - You can join this course at CAA while studying in class X or above. However for grant of CPL license eligibility is Class XII with Physics & Math’s

Medical Basic - health fitness, for regular CPL course Class II is mandatory and for grant of CPL license Class I is mandatory.

Age - 16 years and above

(Please note for grant for CPL license you should be 18 years old on date of issue of license)

Other - Adequate competency in English Language

Curriculum Overview

• Complete Ground Training to facilitate issue of a Student Pilot License (SPL). This would include SPL exam, which would be conducted at CAA at Dhana. Ground studies would also include preparatory notes which would help you for your PPL (Private Pilot License)/CPL written exams

• 15 hours of dual flying on brand new Cessna 172 equipped with Garmin 1000 Glass cockpit Glass Cockpit training on PC based simulator

• Glass Cockpit training on PC based simulator

• Course books for SPL & flying kit

• Facilitation in obtaining Computer number from DGCA

• Class I & Class II Medical facilitation

• Access to CAA library during the course duration
